Mortar Pack Finnish mortar aiming pack with graph paper, charts, writing board, canvas cover case and back pack. The small pouch has pins for attaching the paper to the board. |
![]() Finnish Medical Kits Finnish WWII medical kits with arm band, tourniquet, and various types of bandages. The kit on the left still has all of the drugs and salves in it. Most are dated back to 1936. |
![]() Gas Masks and Bags Finnish gas masks and bags. The canister attaches to the mask and activates by pulling the ring on the bottom of the can and removing the metal bottom plate completely. |
Bread Bags & Packs The 2 pouches on left are different styles of gasmask bags. The pouch on upper right is a wartime back pack. The bottom pouch is a bread bag. |

These 5 canteens were all used during the winter war or continuation war and are all a little different.

5 canteens used in Finland during either the Winter War or the Continuation War. |
Both of these canteens were made in 1936. One is marked INT36 (army) and the other is marked Sk.Y36 (civil guard). Both have the Finnish Friitala OY (FN O/Y) markings on the leather straps. |

The top canteen (INT40) has the early style metal wire hanger. The bottom canteen (INT43) has the attachment hanger formed as part of the canteen. |
This German canteen was used in the Finnish Continuation War but saw little service. It is in mint condition. It is marked in 4 places with MKL41 |

Ammo Pouches Various styles of Finnish ammo pouches worn during the war. The top 2 show Finnish repairs. The next 2 are Swede rubberized canvas SA marked. The next 2 are German WWI pouches with SA stamps. The bottom 2 are Int28 Finnish pouches. |
Grenades Grenade on far left is a Finnish practice grenade, painted "mustard" yellow. The egg grenade is German. The pineapple grenades are Polish. The 2 on the right are Russian grenades. All of these are WWII era. |
Cook Gear The 2 sets of plates would have been used in mess halls. The cook kits are prewar and wartime issue. The canteens show 2 different colors of wool. The spoon/fork combo tools are a prewar design and are handy for dropping into a pack when they are folded. |
Pioneer Gear Saw in carrying case. Wire cutters. Russian shovel (about 1905) captured by the Finns and painted Finnish Army Green. The hole in the shovel is for attaching to hooks on outside of pack. |
