The KevOs4 Ford Truck Restoration Project

Rebuilding a 1937 Ford Truck Flat-bed into a Finnish Army Truck

Special Features Home Page - Information on the Teräs uniform collection, Lotta Svard, Finnish Army truck restoration, Simo Häyhä, and Letters from the Front Line.

The KevOs4 Finnish Reenactment group needed a Finnish Army truck for various events and Tero Tuononen  in Canada managed to find this 1937 Ford truck listed for sale in Kansas.  Marshall purchased the truck and with another member of the Kevos4 group, Mike Minear (Sundance), went up to Kansas to pick up the vehicle and bring it back home to Dallas.

The truck is a 1937 Flat-bed farm truck with a 85hp v8 engine in it. It has a longer wheelbase than the normal 1937 Ford pickup trucks. It also has dual rear tires on it.  The engine and transmission are in running condition, and virtually all the parts on it are original. It has a "PTO" (power take-off) for running auxiliary equipment. The wheels are original to the truck, as it the box unit on back.

The vehicle is in fairly rough condition considering it has been used up until 2 years ago as a working farm truck.

This truck is for sale.  It is sitting on a trailer in McKinney, Texas. Truck and brand new trailer - 5000.00.  Contact me for details.

The front end will need a lot of work. We can straighten the grill but one of the vanes is missing.
