Marshall Kregel and Brent Snodgrass will be in Duluth during FinnFest 2008 for a military display and will also have a table in the Tori with books, dvds, and some militaria. KevOs4 group members are needed to help with the display and explain the history behind some the items to the visitors as they walk in to the show. We are interviewing Finnish war veterans around the country for a new book. This project will take us another 7 or 8 months but we already have some good interviews done. We plan to publish the book online or through an "on demand" publisher such as www.lulu.com. Keep checking back here for progress on this effort. Progress Report, April 2008, we have 64 completed veteran interviews.
Duluth FinnFest is in July this year. We plan to be there with a militaria display. Duluth has offered a small area outside the main buildings for the KevOs4 group to do a display. The FinnFest 2008 link is: http://www.finnfest2008.com/
The Finnish Winter War documentary "Fire and Ice" by producer Ben Strout is available now! You can now order the DVD here at KevOs4! Click here for details... KevOs4 is planning Continuation War events to take place during the Spring and Fall of each year. We also plan to have "static" displays like campsites, Finnish vehicles, artillery, etc. These events will be both fun and educational. If you would like to participate in events like this, please contact us! We would be glad to send you information. Progress Report!!! - We have Summer tunics arriving now. 8 have already been delivered to reenactors. More tunics are on the way. Pants are available NOW. We are also getting winter tunics in April. |
