Note about coat ------->

I was told that the fur coat is of Swedish made. I do not know how they came to Finland, but in the begin of Winter War a typical outfit of a Suojeluskunta officer was this fur coat, a map case, an ukkoMauser pistol with wooden holster and civil boots. The follow up was that the Russian snipers picked up first  these white coat soldiers. After Winter War field officers did not use very  much this coat. Instead it was used by higher officers and Lottas in air  surveillance watch.

In continuation war and post war some of the fur coats  (originally they were owned by civil citizens or Swedish volunteer soldiers)  were in army possession and they were used by the watch soldiers in winter and
 night time (up to 1960s).

This photo is most likely taken somewhere in the far north (Lapland) and the road is probably the so called "Arctic Sea Road" [Jäämeren tie] between Rovaniemi and Petsamo. Only somewhere near Petsamo or in northern Norway are such fjords.

I like this picture. What is the lady doing in the picture and why is she wearing high heels?

The girl wearing high heels in one of your fotos is from an field-entertainment group. It can may be Harmony Sisters, or another famous singer, who knows.

The truck behind is a civilian one: the visible text is "Paulig" which is a still a well-known coffee maker in Finland. Their brands are for example "Juhla-Mokka" [Festival Mocca]and "Presidentti" [President]
