Civil Guard summer tunic and cap

Civil guard (from now on CG) summer tunic & cap known as m/32 (even if stamps state earlier time).  Set is bit faded due to sunlight (as can see from pictures where collars are up) but in great shape and in very rare big size.

Tunic has 3 hidden buttons which makes it look more like a shirt. Top button(s) are interesting double buttons.  Elbows are reinforced with same fabric tunic is made of.

This set is identified and it belonged to one CG member who was elected for local CG's board (and later to CG district board). Swastika-kind of badges on collars showed that he was member of local CG board. Chosen members were often powerful men from the local area, like bank managers, farmers with big farms & lot of cattle etc.

In 1920's these elected members did not have officer insignia but in 1930's with new instructions/orders they could start using shoulder strap, officer cockade & arm patch etc. even if they did not have actual officer rank. So this gentleman also had enlisted/NCO arm patch along with cockade. Cockade has Turku District colours as have the arm patch.

On left pocket he has CG badge of Proficiency 2nd class m/21 and above breast pocket medal bar for Cross of Liberty 4th class with swords and Liberation war medal.

On the right pocket he has badge of Military Proficiency, "master" class. Above the pocket is 3rd class rifle shooting qualification badge (with name & score engraved on the reverse).

He is wearing official CG brown belt with German made ammo pouch, which is stamped with CG stamp & year. There are loops for belt on tunics hem, all with lion buttons.  Bayonet is CG stamped m/28-30.  Cap & tunic are both stamped "S.Y 1927".
