Visor cap is like the one
navy had (and actually still has) but gray in color (VERY rare these
days). Cap badge is same as navy had. Please note the black thin
cord that goes around the hat badge. This
might have been the difference between navy & CA cap badges!
Shoulder boards are staff
officer's and color of the fabric below is black. Crossed guns for CA
along with lions indicating for career officer.
Tunic is gray with dark
blue sleeve-ends and collars. Buttons are with anchors (like navy had)
while army & air force had lions.
Pants are dark blue with
bluish/grayish stripes. Air force had same pants.
Belt is parade belt m/22.
Sword is navy model but CA could actually use either model, i.e.. normal
army/AF officer model was also accepted. Sword belt is under the tunic
and it has two "hanging attachments" to leather scabbard.
Arm band was part of
parade/formal dress. Made of silk w/hand embroidered Finnish coat of
arms.
Officer is rank of major
as indicated with one big "rose" on collars.
Decorations from left:
Cross of liberty 5th
class w/swords, Order of White Rose, knight 2nd class, liberation war
medal, Winter war medal with bar "Rannikopuolustus" (coastal defense)
w/swords, cross for war of kindred nations, Aunus-medal from wars of
kindred nations.
Below medal bar is cadet
school badge for career officers. By the way, the whole set including
great coat is identified!
